Blue's Clues Notebook - UPDATE
Thank you to everyone that offered info on where to look for the notebook. A friend in Texas (thanks Doreen!!) was able to purchase a 4pack (the last one the store had!!) and it's in route! Kaeli doesn't know yet, I can't wait to give her the package to open!

The journey home
Roger's last surviving grandparent passed away today (Wednesday) in Alabama. She had been ill for some time and we are thankful that she isn't suffering anymore. It's always difficult to say good bye and probably impossible to explain to a 2.5 year old why so many are so sad.
The picture above was taken several years ago on a vacation we took to Alabama (before Kaeli was in our lives).
The one thing I will always appreciate about her is that she accepted me without really "knowing" me from the very first time we met.
She was loved and she will be missed!

HELP!
BLUE'S CLUES HANDY DANDY NOTEBOOK
I need help finding one of these for Kaeli!! The most likely place is a party store in the Blue's Clues birthday party favors. I've checked Walmart, Target, Toys R Us, 4 party stores and online (including ebay, where they are going for around $15!!!)... I can't find one.
Kaeli received one of these in a birthday party goody bag. A friend recently came to play and was very attached to the notebook and I told them they could have it. Kaeli did not cry, pitch a fit and let the other child take it. I promised her I would replace it, not knowing I wouldn't be able to easily.
If you have any ideas where to look, please email me spikenboo2003@yahoo.com. I really want to replace this for her (and she reminds me daily that I'm supposed to)!! Thanks!!!

June Update
Hi everyone! Kaeli is blooming... she's so much fun! She's singing, running, playing hard and learning to swim... which is a 10 minute comedy routine! Lately, she's been trying to convince her swim teacher, Mrs. Sherri, that she's done after one swim! "One more time, one more time"! We just laugh (when she's under water) and Kaeli keeps swimming.
Many of you may have watched some of the recent tv shows on sexual predators. Quite frankly, it makes me sick, but I watch, because I want to be aware. Please log on to this site: http://www.familywatchdog.us/ to check for sexual predators in your area. A few years ago, we had a registered sex offender living two houses away and didn't know for the longest time. Fortunately, he moved away before we brought Kaeli home. I think it's really important to keep an eye out!
Our pool is completed (8 weeks from dig to swim) and we will definately be enjoying this summer out by the pool. We pray for zero hurricanes (today is the official start of hurricane season) this summer and lots of pool side parties! :-)
