Happy Chinese New Year!!
Year 2006 will be the "Year of the Dog," and the Chinese will welcome in this new Lunar Year on January 29th, 2006. The dog is a symbol of clever, loyal, calm in crisis, sincere, & intuitive.
Somehow, I'm sure Kaeli would try to convince us to get her a puppy in the year of the dog! She's just not old enough to know it yet!
We spent a Chinese New Year dinner with three other families that have beautiful, precious children from China. It was so nice to see the girls interact with each other and to celebrate a little of their heritage. These are three of the girls that Kaeli plays with at her playdate on a somewhat regular basis. While each of them has their own personality, it's amazing to me to see them get along so well with each other. I pray they will continue to grow up together and have a strong friendship bond and that they are able to explore their hertitage together in the future.
